Valtech and JBoss Form Premier Level Partnership
1 January 1970 Valtech and JBoss, Inc. announced today a global partnership to deliver Professional Certification and training for the JBoss Enterprise Middleware System (JEMS(TM)). Under the agreement, Valtech, a global provider of agile software development, integration, and application outsourcing services, will become one of five Premier-Level JBoss Certified System Integrator (SI) partners. Utilizing Valtech's 14 global delivery centers, the companies will drive global adoption of the open source products contained in the JEMS product stack. Valtech and JBoss intend to foster related technical skills and certification programs through each of Valtech's service divisions -- skills development, IT consulting and global sourcing. "Many companies are turning to JBoss because they offer high-quality technical support for open source technologies, with the obvious benefit of zero-cost software licensing," said Curtis Hite, CEO of Valtech-North America. "Our partnership with JBoss will enhance our ability to deliver comprehensive solutions that transform open source technologies into measurable business value for our clients."
Each year, Valtech provides advanced technology training to more than 20,000 professionals across a curriculum of over 35 courses. Valtech will now add new courses focused on JBoss Professional Certification and JEMS product training. These courses will be marketed to new customers and business partners, as well as each company's existing client bases.
"As the JBoss ecosystem continues to expand so will the need and demand for technical training and professional certification on our JEMS products," said Tom Cooper, vice president of worldwide channels, JBoss, Inc. "Valtech has the commitment, global infrastructure and proven ability to arm a new generation of JEMS experts to serve a growing demand for JEMS products and services. In the long run, this partnership will provide the large JEMS user base with more choices for consulting services, training and certified solutions."
