Snapbridge Software Offering Free "Google Sitemap" Application, Powered by New XML-Echo Language
1 January 1970Snapbridge Software, one of the nation's leading software innovators to the publishing industry, today announced that it is offering a free reference application that generates Google Sitemaps to demonstrate the power of Snapbridge's new transformational language, named XML-Echo. XML-Echo is an open source XML-based computer language for transforming and processing data from heterogeneous sources as well as XML. Four years in the making, XML-Echo is designed for use by developers who want to streamline development time.
Free Google Sitemap Generator
The Google Sitemap Generator service is free for any organization or individual that maintains a website and wishes to make it easier for Google (Nasdaq: GOOG) to include their site in Google's search engine. Snapbridge's free reference application, powered by XML-Echo, will crawl the assigned website, index it and then generate a XML document that conforms to the Google Sitemap standard. It can also let Google know it is ready for pickup. This sitemap project is also being released to the open source community so that anyone can modify or use it for free. Cross Media Server 2.0 (beta)
Snapbridge also introduced today its 2.0 version of the company's popular Cross Media Server. This new version builds upon the first release that introduced searching and archiving of media content and now provides a dynamic website publishing feature that allows users to re-use and publish content that is stored in the archive and create new content for instant publishing online. It is structured to allow publishers to create new publications in minutes and quickly populate those publications with new content, RSS feeds, search results and any content that is in its repository, all with no programming. Downloads of software with a 30-day free trial are available at http://www.snapbridge.com.
Nicknamed a "glue language" by Snapbridge's developers, XML-Echo enables developers to easily access and then transform structured and semi-structured content into a XML format and then easily publish that content to multiple XML or non-XML formats. XML-Echo can be used to create virtual documents in real time.
"Releasing XML-Echo marks another important step in Snapbridge's mission to delivering advanced and efficient software solutions to the publishing and media industries," said Benjamin Chen, Chairman and Chief Technology Officer, Snapbridge Software, Inc.
"XML-Echo is an exceptionally user friendly, XML based computer language that can reduce the programming process ten-fold," said Jason Oliver, Vice President, Product Marketing, Snapbridge Software, Inc. "XML-Echo has a high 'wow' factor because it allows developers to build applications very quickly and increases the speed to market for rapid prototyping. XML-Echo is perfectly suited to serve the new AJAX programming paradigm where a combination of Javascript and server based XML provide for new rich browser based interfaces like Google Maps. XML-Echo is designed to be user-friendly and easy to learn. Its architecture is very intuitive and the commands can be learned in a matter of hours."
