Singapore Web Hosting Company Upgrades to Online Invoicing
1 January 19708 to Infinity (www.8.to) a company provide web hosting based in Singapore is starting to revamp their current invoicing system which involved manual printing and posting of invoices and bills into an online electronic system that integrate with their present web hosting solutions.
"Orders through the Internet should be immediate. Waiting for a physical invoice runs contrary to what an Internet company like 8 to Infinity provides. With immediate online invoicing, manpower and time for each order processed would be reduced by up to 80%" says Lim Boon Chuan, Chief Technical Officer of 8 to Infinity.
Given the tens of thousands of clients 8 to Infinity is handling. An immediate, abrupt switch to the new system may mean chaos rather than increasing efficiency. The switch will be gradual starting from new clients and slowly spreading to existing clients who are renewing.
The new system provides an exact replicate of the current invoices being printed and posted manually. There is totally no compromise on the quality of billing and invoicing. The company will continue to manually post invoices to specific clients who need a physical invoices for their various purposes at no extra charges. Given the thousands of invoices that are needed each month, the automation will hopefully be a small contribution by 8 to Infinity on the Go Green efforts and the efforts to save the earth from deforestation. The entire exercise for the conversion is expected to last about 6 months to a year and will involve not only clients in Singapore but worldwide.
8 to Infinity provides Singapore, Hong Kong and USA Web hosting for users throughout the world. We have Linux, Unix and Windows 2003 virtual and dedicated servers and have been hosting since 1997!
