Qualystem Technology Announces Support of RedHat Enterprise Linux ES

1 January 1970

Today Qualystem Technology announced the porting of its groundbreaking Qualystem( tm ) LAN-PC 3 solution to RedHat Enterprise Linux ES. Qualystem( tm ) LAN-PC 3 will provide organizations running RedHat Enterprise Linux ES servers with a unique solution enabling central management and turnkey deployments by streaming out operating systems and applications to a fleet of diskless Windows clients.

"By supporting RedHat Enterprise Linux ES, Qualystem Technology demonstrates its willingness to match major standard evolutions and leverage on the innovation of open source technology. This reinforces the value proposition of our solutions that constantly adapt to market trends and may be used in a very large scope of environments," said Hacène Hebbar, President, Chief Executive Officer and co-founder of Qualystem Technology.

"This was a smooth porting process that once again highlights the versatility of our Qualystem( tm ) LAN-PC server platform that has been coded using standard code and standard functions. Qualystem( tm ) LAN-PC server is the only solution enabling Windows central provisioning for diskless systems that does not rely on any Operating System specific feature or component," commented Yves Gattegno, Chief Technology Officer and co-founder of Qualystem Technology.

With Qualystem( tm ) LAN-PC 3, the administrator cuts client stations administration and only focuses on managing shared images hosted on the RedHat Enterprise Linux server. Benefits in terms of time and cost savings, flexibility and business continuity are impressive.

Client systems keep executing applications so even most demanding multimedia applications benefit from outstanding performances. They may be centrally managed even in the case of heterogeneous hardware configurations.

Users benefit from highly reliable and secure diskless platforms, enabling a potential immediate access to a host of configurations ( virtual hard disks ). As the solution fully integrates with Linux remote-boot using PXE, the "Linux-Windows" dual boot option is also supported. In addition, various user operating modes are provided to perfectly meet organizations' and users' needs ( volatile, custom and administrator modes ).

Qualystem( tm ) LAN-PC 3 allows the remote boot and central management of Windows 2000, XP, XPe diskless systems from Windows/Linux/FreeBSD servers. Pricing starts at 99 Euros per client system for a pack including 1 server and 25 client systems. For more information, please contact Qualystem Technology sales team at sales@qualystem.com.
