Pan American Health Organization Facilitates Cost-Effective Communication and Collaboration With Elluminate Live!(R)

PAHO will use Elluminate Live! to support its mission of strengthening national and local health systems, and improving the health of the peoples of the Americas in cooperation with government and international agencies, universities, centers of excellence, community groups and many others.

Following an extensive competitive analysis based on product features, functionality and usability, PAHO selected Elluminate Live! for its full-duplex audio, bandwidth management, audio buffering, breakout rooms, participation management, multiple-language support and affordable pricing. The organization uses a Microsoft SharePoint site to deliver support, documentation, usage tips and best practices guidelines to end-users, and serve as a single access point for the staff to ten Elluminate Live! permanent virtual rooms for scheduled and ad hoc meetings. All scheduling is done through SharePoint calendars. In addition, PAHO will use the live eLearning environment to enable the organization's virtual campus initiative with the goal of providing remote education on a wide variety of health-related topics.
