Lonopono LLC has released the first beta version of Lonopono

1 January 1970

Lonopono LLC announces the availability of the first beta release of Lonopono. Lonopono revolutionizes the web browsing experience by integrating advanced technology into a rich drag and drop interface. Using Lonopono can dramatically increase the productivity of all classes of users, from novices to experts. Lonopono brings a wealth of sophisticated technology to bear on the browsing experience, making it easy to collect, organize, share, and display information. Lonopono runs on Windows, Mac OS X, Linux, and Unix.

"Client side browsing technology has stood still since the late 90's" said Lonopono president Bill Donahue. "Lonopono plans to change that and take the technology into the 21st century".

Lonopono is the first product to bring cutting edge technology to the web browsing experience. Lonopono includes an integrated knowledge base (using OWL, the Web Ontology Language), advanced scripting support, and a complete client side development package. All Lonopono data, which can come from many sources, not just web pages, is sharable via the integration of advanced networking technology called Direct Sharing.

Lonopono includes significant advancements in the area of RSS. Smart browsing finds all RSS feeds and OPML lists on a web page, using a deep, efficient search. "Some current aggregators support a very shallow search for RSS feeds, and none look for OPML (blogrolls)" commented Bill Donahue. "Lonopono changes that by finding all the RSS feeds and OPML lists on a page, saving you considerable time".

Collect, organize, share, and display. These are the four parts of the Lonopono experience. Collecting and organizing data is done using the Lonopono tree, the most advanced knowledge container yet devised. All information is organized into trees, which can be shared, referenced, interlinked, versioned, and more.

Lonopono sharing technology is unsurpassed in the industry. All data collected in Lonopono can be shared in a secure environment, with only those that you authorize with access to the data. It's all done using Direct Sharing technology, so there is no need for web servers, or other hard to use technologies. Data is transferred directly from your computer to others with the proper authorization. Users can construct their own private networks, quickly and securely. Lonopono sharing technology is all self contained and easy to use.

The display technology in Lonopono supports all the current web standards, such as HTML, XHTML, XML, JavaScript, and CSS. All Lonopono information is displayed in the embedded web browser. You can construct your own views of information, even dynamic web pages. You can customize any views supplied by Lonopono. It's all done using well known, standardized browsing technology. And, there is no need to maintain a web server to view your web pages. Lonopono uses the same Direct Sharing network technology in unique ways to allow you to build web applications locally, and to share them with others, all without having to post web pages to a server. It's all clean, simple, and self contained.

Applications of Lonopono include simple things, like sharing photos with selected friends or sharing bookmarks among all your computers, all the way to building a knowledge management application for a specialized topic.

"Lonopono is in a class by itself. Using Lonopono will greatly enhance the web browsing for everyone, and it's advanced technology will make it especially attractive to the power user." said Bill Donahue.

The beta version is free. Upon release (expected within 60 days of the beta release), there will be three versions of Lonopono, the Standard , Professional, and Power User versions. See our website at www.lonopono.com for pricing and other information.
