Identify Software Announces Support for JBoss® Open Source Application Server
1 January 1970Identify Software®, the leader in application problem resolution technology, today announced its AppSight™ Application Problem Resolution system now supports applications running on the JBoss Application Server. As the provider of the first comprehensive application problem resolution solution for JBoss®, Identify is providing JBoss customers with an enhanced enterprise-level application server environment for developing and deploying business critical applications.
AppSight automates and accelerates the tasks of application problem resolution - one of the most time-consuming and costly processes of application lifecycle management. AppSight allows IT professionals to monitor, capture, and analyze software application execution, making it easier to diagnose, resolve, and avoid application problems. AppSight is used throughout the application lifecycle to accelerate application delivery, manage risk in decentralized development and delivery environments, reduce support costs, and improve application availability and performance.
For most organizations, problem resolution remains an iterative, manual, error-prone, communications-intensive activity that involves multiple members of application development, application support, and IT operations. AppSight automates the entire process, leveraging patented Black Box software to monitor transaction execution and capture a synchronized, real-time log of user actions, system events, performance metrics, configuration data, and code execution flow - much like the "black box" flight recorder on an aircraft captures a real-time record of a flight. By capturing actual problem history in a centralized repository, AppSight eliminates the need to recreate the problem, an activity that occurs, on average 6.5 times during the problem resolution process. By allowing each member of the problem triage team to quickly analyze problem information using role-based views AppSight supports team collaboration and communication. AppSight is integrated with leading systems management and service management applications, and has been proven to accelerate problem resolution (whether the problem is related to performance, configuration issues, user mistakes, or code errors) by up to 70percent.
“Our customers are increasingly adopting open-source platforms, though usually in combination with one or more "closed-source" platforms to build cost-effective application development and deployment environments," said Eldad Maniv, vice president of product management and business development at Identify. "Identify is committed to providing our customers with a common solution for application problem resolution in their increasingly heterogeneous application infrastructures, and today's announcement is further proof of that."
AppSight is available for JBoss, IBM WebSphere, BEA Weblogic, ASP, and ASP.NET
